Announcing the Second Edition of the International Conference on 3D Technologies in Hospitals

Following the success on the first edition held in Vienna, Austria in 2025, we are proud to announce the launch of the new edition of IC3DTH 2026.

The second edition of IC3DTH will take place in Bristol, United Kingdom, on the 27-28 November 2026, marking a recurrent annual event dedicated exclusively to the advancement of 3D printing and related technologies in healthcare wolrdwide.

Our goal is to create a unique meeting point for professionals, researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders working at the intersection of 3D technologies and medicine. IC3DTH will offer a platform to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and discuss the latest developments in the use of 3D printing within hospitals and clinical settings. From patient-specific models and surgical planning to custom medical devices, bioprinting, and regulatory challenges, the conference will provide a comprehensive view of the impact of these technologies on healthcare.

Programme

The conference will run all day Friday 27 November and the morning of Saturday 28 November at the University of Bristol and the programme will include: 

  • Keynote talks from experts
  • Talks on point-of-care
  • Research talks including bioprinting
  • A patients’ panel
  • Abstract flash presentations
  • Industry talks

There will be plenty of opportunities for networking.

Abstracts

Abstract submissions for IC3DTH 2026 are now open.

We welcome contributions on 3D technologies in clinical practice, from surgical simulation to regulation and innovation in hospital-based manufacturing.

We especially welcome abstract submissions from students and early career researchers.

Guidelines for submitting your abstract:

  1. Use the provided abstract template:  Abstract Template
  2. On the template, select whether you want to submit to the Clinical Session or the Technical Session.

  1. Send your abstract in Microsoft Word to: international-conference3dth2026@bristol.ac.uk

Abstract scoring and presenting at the conference:

  1. Your abstract will be scored by a panel of experts.
  2. All accepted abstracts will be published in a digital booklet and shared in advance of the conference.
  3. In a move toward making the conference sustainable, we will invite oral presentations only in a format of flash presentations (5 minutes).
  4. Twenty abstracts will be selected for the Clinical Session and twenty for the Technical Session.
  5. Three abstracts will be selected for a longer (10 minutes) oral presentation.

Conference Awards:

  1. All presentations will be scored by a panel of experts, and the top 3 presentations in the Clinical and Technical Sessions will receive an award of £150, £100, and £50, respectively.
  2. The 10-minute oral presentations will also compete for an award of £150, £100, and £50 respectively, as assessed by a panel of judges.
