Met Rider - Term 2 & 3 MyTravelPass (valid only for students aged 16-21)

If you're aged 16–21 and living in Wales while studying at Cardiff Met, you're entitled to make great savings on Cardiff Bus services by purchasing a MetRider pass.

IMPORTANT – YOU NEED TWO PASSES

To use the Met Rider student bus pass, you must also have a valid My Travel Pass.
These are two separate cards/passes, and you must have both. The My Travel Pass is a free scheme to apply for with the Welsh Government dedicated to helping young people in Wales.
Some students only apply for one by mistake, please make sure you have both at the moment of getting on the bus.

If you haven't already got one, please apply for your My Travel Pass at the same time or before purchasing your Met Rider pass. You can apply here.

Validity:
2nd January 2026 – 30 June 2026

Eligibility:
You must be 21 or under on 30 June 2026 to qualify.

This Met Rider pass is exclusive to Cardiff Met students and gives you travel across the city and beyond (including Barry and Newport).

Please use your Cardiff Met email address when purchasing this pass and when creating your Cardiff Bus account.
