Volunteer Zambia Fundraiser - Day of the African Child

Day of the African Child – Volunteer Zambia Fundraiser

June 16th marks the Day of the African Child, a day that commemorates the courage of students in Soweto, South Africa, who stood up for their right to education in 1976. Today, it serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing need to support access to quality education, health, and opportunity for children across Africa.

As part of Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Volunteer Zambia Project, we are proud to honour this day with a fundraising challenge for all staff at Cardiff Met.

The Challenge: 5 for 5
We’re inviting all staff;
•    Walk, jog, run, cycle, or swim 5km
•    Donate £5 via this page to support the Volunteer Zambia Project

Whether you complete your 5km in one go or spread it out over the day, your effort will help raise vital funds to support sport development, education, and community empowerment in Zambia.
