Public Engagement Workshop: Empty homes in Wales

• Do you have experience of the impact of empty homes or properties on communities?
• Have you been involved in owning or trying to renovate an empty home or turn a small-scale commercial property into a home?
• Are you involved in dealing with the issue or transformation of empty homes as part of an organisation e.g. a local authority, charity or social landlord?

Cardiff Metropolitan University is holding a series of public engagement workshops on behalf of the Welsh Government to try and understand the impact of empty properties and how they can be transformed back into homes, as well as how small-scale commercial properties can be changed into homes.

Academics from the university will run the workshop which will enable people with different expertise in this area to share views and collaborate around potential solutions. The information generated in these sessions will feed into the creation of a Empty Homes Handbook to help individuals navigate this issue, and ideally lead to fewer empty homes.

Bydd academyddion o'r brifysgol yn cynnal y gweithdy a fydd yn galluogi pobl ag arbenigedd gwahanol yn y maes hwn i rannu barn a chydweithio ar atebion posibl. Bydd y wybodaeth a gynhyrchir yn y sesiynau hyn yn bwydo i greu Llawlyfr Cartrefi Gwag i helpu unigolion i lywio'r mater hwn, ac yn ddelfrydol yn arwain at lai o gartrefi gwag..
